Diane returns from her holiday, calm, ready to work with Liz, but with a feeling that she is doing something she has already done again. Liz learns from STR Laurie that despite the return of Chumhum as a client, her bosses have decided to bring her a new name partner, Ri’Chard. As soon as he arrives, Ri’Chard makes a lot of changes, while Marissa who is a lawyer now, fails to arrange a continuance, because she froze in front of the judge, and asks for help from her father. Carmen is introduced by Lester to a new rich client, Ben-Baruch, who is wanted for murder, and wants her to advise him if he must leave the country, or if the police have no case against him. Also, Liz and Diane are working on a case to defend Chumhum for an animated assault, by a female player during her being as an avatar in a virtual world.
