It’s been five months for Sophie since her suicide attempt, by jumping off a boat into the ocean and surviving with the help of the Coast Guard. She lives with her husband James, but she can’t remember anything before her rescue. She tries to move on but she feels that many things don’t feel right for her. She observes a man following her, who later approaches her and gives her something which will help her later. Also, he tells her that he is Officer Thomas Baden, and she knew him and tells her that James keeps things from her. She will manage to open her laptop, and she will find out that she had an affair with Thomas. Later, she will see the woman who saved her, and she will reveal to Sophie that she was saying that a man pushed her from the boat and that her name was Tess.
