Six months after the separation of Engine and Big Alice, Layton is continuing Melanie’s research, by taking samples of different areas in order to find her New Eden. Meanwhile, Wilford’s crew is suffering from the cold which has infiltrated many of his cars and makes life there difficult. Nevertheless, Ruth and Pike lead the Resistance, which works against Wilford, in favor of Layton, and hopes Melanie was true. Wilford tries to find Engine and he is searching for it, while Audrey tries to escape and to convince Alex to reunite them with Wilford, but fails. Layton while he was saving Bennett, who fell inside a building that was covered in snow, finds a woman in there. who he brings her back to Engine.
