Moriarty is ready to kill Sherlock and John, but a phone call from Irene Adler, prevents that and Moriarty leaves them alive. Sherlock and John are hired by Mycroft to retrieve compromising photos of a minor female royal, which are held on the camera phone of Irene Adler, a dominatrix who keeps classified informations from her clients. Sherlock and John visit her, but CIA trained killers intervene, and Irene leaves with her phone, assuring Sherlock that his client is safe from her. Days later, and before Irene is killed, sends her phone to Sherlock, but it is locked.
