Ben Clemens is working his last day as a U.S. Border Patrol Agent before he retires, and manages to discover a secret tunnel, and arrest the men who were leading a group who were transporting drugs through it. His plan following the retirement is to go to
Mexico and continue the building of a house, which his dead partner Javi Lopez has started. Javi left his wife and their two kids with a lot of unpaid bills, and in order to help them, Ben has to finish it and then sell it. Ben is a divorced man, and his daughter
celebrates her school graduation. In Mexico and at the local restaurant near his house, he meets the owner Silvia Peña, who knew Javi, the pregnant waitress María Elena Flores, and the local police officers, who all liked Javi. One night, Maria asks for Ben to help
her go to the U.S. but instead, he takes her to the Police station. Maria’s boyfriend is a member of a cartel and gives a warning to Ben to stay away from her. One morning Maria arrives at Ben’s house hurt, and in order to protect herself and Ben, Maria kills the
two men who were searching for her. Now, they run to save their lives.
